So we've been busy with fall -- Craig is home, lots of homework, blah blah blah...but we have good news today!! Two weeks ago after she finished her homework, Allyssa disappeared to draw. She came back to show me a picture of the weather that she had drawn for a contest hosted by our local tv stations -- WSFA. This was all her idea. She asked me to look up where she had to send it to online. So I did, she addressed the envelope, put a stamp on it and walked it down the block to put it in the mailbox all by herself. (She knows at a young age that her mom is bad about mailing things.)
So... It was announced this morning on the news that she is a Sketch the Sky winner and will be among the October winners who will get to go to a party with the news crew. She is so excited!! She also thought it was super cool because it was announced in the morning announcements at school, lots of people saw it on the news, and her teacher brought her a rose...too cute.

How awesome! I know that she will definitely enjoy attending that party! Don't forget to get pics of her with the TV guys! Ya know, I love the pics I got of Tam with the guys from WSFA when she won (it helps that they are cuties)
