Can you tell it's a foreign country by my sunrise picture? This is looking out my back door this morning as the sun was rising. I think it was about 5am-ish. I got up at 4am. Amazing, yes, I know. You may be talking about the sun rise. I'm talking about me actually being awake to see it. You see, I'm not a morning person. So sunrises are not normally something I witness. But my jet lag has been putting me to bed early, which means up early too. And, I'm kind of liking it!!
So, I've been busy doing the first things we military kind do when we get to a new base. Visiting finance to get them working on reimbursing us for the expenses of our move. Going to the base all-day orientation. I even got my drivers license so I can drive in Japan, which means, on the left side of the road. Scary!!
I've also been trying to unpack little by little without going too overboard because I know I need to adapt to the time zone. I also need to adapt to living with my husband again, ha! (All smiles, folks.) So, unpacking all the stuff that the movers shipped here and all of these...
And to top it all off, I've got sinus and allergy issues like nobodies business! So, I'm still jet lagged, I"m fighting some crazy allergies...but I'm still unpacking. And I'm painting and organizing, and I can't wait to share pictures with all of you. But I can't. Not yet. 'Cause I'm not that good -- nothing's finished yet. And since it's not, I'll share this with you instead...
It's the view we see a few blocks away from our house. Cool, can you see the water? It's in the middle off in the distance. I don't know if that's the Pacific Ocean, or the East China Sea...those are the waters that surround us. I'll have to get better at my directions and figure it out. But for now...I'm going to bed. Until next time, my friends...
